Overview

The ideal candidate for this Senior Financial Analyst role is a generalist with an interest in strategy for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and will bring strong technical, problem solving and financial and analytical skills. You will work on strategic and budget-related projects for Lifelong and its business units and partner with the Director of FP&A and the CFO in implementing technology infrastructure and internal processes to support data-driven decision-making. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in preparing analyses for a wide spectrum of strategic problems seeking to identify, research, and assess the current business as well as new opportunities. You will work with stakeholders across the organization to manage financial risk through budget planning, scenario modeling, and data-driven financial analysis that supports strategic and operational decision-making, including evaluating new funding opportunities. This position will report to the Director of FP&A and will interact with senior management across the organization.

 

This is a full time, benefit eligible position at our Administartive Offices.

Benefits

Responsibilities

 

  • Collaborate to identify, research, and assess emerging opportunities
  • Provide support for C-level presentation materials highlighting actionable recommendations
  • Build and maintain financial models in Excel to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
  • Contribute to strategic discussions across the business
  • Partner with grants and planning teams to evaluate new funding opportunities and grant budgets.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts across business units
  • Lead/support the implementation of new technologies (e.g. Adaptive Insights) and related processes
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of management consulting and/or business financial operations experience
  • Self-starter and a high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field from an accredited university. MBA a plus
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization tools (e.g., charts and conditional formatting)
  • Familiarity with Adaptive Insights or other FP&A planning tool
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player able to lead and work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
  • Detail and quality-oriented with the desire to quickly learn new concepts, business models, and technologies

The employee may be required to attend evening meetings, travel and work evenings or weekends.  The noise level varies from quiet to moderate. Individual is subject to frequent interruptions.
