Overview

LifeLong Medical Care is searching for a part-time Chiropractor to join our multidisciplinary team at our East Oakland Health Center. Under the supervision of the Associate Medical Director, the Chiropractor will care for patients with health problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system, including nerves, bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Use of spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patient's health concerns, such as back and neck pain.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

 

  • Diagnose and treat patients with health problems of the musculoskeletal system and treat the effects of those problems on the nervous system and on general health.
  • Treat patients with manual types of therapy or mobilization, soft tissue techniques, and a wide array of exercise for strengthening, core stabilization, flexibility and promotion of range of motion.
  • Help patients to regain function, strength and desired activity level to the best of one's ability.
  • Communicate effectively with an interdisciplinary team including client, family, physician, referral sources, team members, peers, support staff and management through written and verbal means.
  • Assist in creating a calm and healing environment for clients and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements.

Qualifications

Job Requirements and Preferences         

    • Graduate of a CCE-accredited four-year chiropractic college training program. License, Certification, Registration
    • Current licensure to practice as a chiropractor in the State of California required.
    • National Provider Identification (NPI) required.
    • Successful completion of the NBCE examination. 
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
