    Come join a dynamic care team at LifeLong Medical Care! We are looking for a Network Engineer who oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of networked information systems. This is a full time, benefit eligible role reporting to the Chief Information Officer and based out of Berkeley. Work hours vary depending on network requirements. Applicants must be flexible in their availability to work some evenings.

    • Install, configure, and maintain local and wide area network services, equipment and devices.
    • Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
    • Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.
    • Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
    • Plans and supports wired and wireless network and computing infrastructure.
    • Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations and associated systems.
    • Oversee software and network security.


    • Requires a thorough knowledge of data and voice networking.
    • Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience needed.
    • Required: Windows, Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls, Meraki cloud-managed access points. Helpful: some Linux
    • Networking: LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, UDP, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPN, MPLS, Windows AD.
    • Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
    • Able to work under pressure in a positive, friendly and professional manner.
    • Ability to work independently and as a team player with staff and volunteers.


    Education and Experience


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
    • At least five years of experience with direct responsibilities for WAN, LAN, and firewall configurations required.
    • Cisco Professional certification preferred
    • IT experience in healthcare environment preferred.
