    LifeLong Medical Care is looking for a Per Diem Dentist to work Monday and Friday at our Berkeley Dental and Pinole location. The dentist will provide quality dental care to our patients. The dentist will participate in various projects to aid in the continuous improvement in the dental care and health of our patients.

    Responsibilities


    • Performs general dentistry services, including the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures

    • Examines patients to determine the nature of the conditioning affecting the patient, utilizing x-rays, dental instruments, and other diagnostic procedures

    • Performs all aspects of general dentistry such as, but not limited to, fillings, extractions, root canals, removable and fixed prosthetics, and preventive care. 

    • Provides oral hygiene services to include dental prophylaxis, periodontal treatment and oral hygiene education.

    • Evaluates and assesses medical history for appropriate follow-up and treatment, provides referrals as appropriate

    • Practices in compliance with Lifelong policies and all relevant regulations, including Title 22, Medi-Cal, the local health department, etc.

    • Provides dental services to Lifelong Medical Care contracted agencies.

    • Updates and develops dental programs to improve the dental care of our patients as needed.

    • Works as a team member to support the smooth flow of dental care to the patients throughout the day.

    • Maintains continuing education requirements.

    • Assumes other duties as assigned by the Dental Director.

    • Ability to see how one’s work intersects with that of other departments of LifeLong Medical Care and that of other partner organizations.

    Job Requirements          



    • Successful completion of a dental program (DMD or DDS) and Dental Board Examinations

    • Current and valid California Dental License.

    • Current AHA approved CPR certification.


    Job Preferences



    • Non-profit or community health experience.

    • Experience working with elderly population.
