The right candidate will have experience working with underserved communities and is passionate about providing team based, comprehensive medical care to an ethnically diverse population.
The East Oakland clinic model integrates behavioral health care with primary medical care and offers a multi-disciplinary wellness center that includes acupuncture, medical group visits, nutrition support and yoga to its patients at low-cost.

-Interpreting results of clinical tests with the goal of delivering comprehensive care that improves patients' quality of life and prevents unnecessary re-admissions to acute settings.
-Teaching: precepting residents and medical students. Participating in a weekly APP conference.
-Wellness Center: opportunity to do medical group visits, working closely with clinicians to provide multidisciplinary care.
-Providing medical care including: screening, health maintenance and disease prevention, management of acute and chronic conditions, provision of vaccinations and making appropriate referrals and follow-up for diagnostic and specialty services.
-Working closely with the onsite behavioral health and social services team, which includes case managers, licensed clinical social workers and psychiatrists, to provide full scope of care.
-Maintaining accurate medical records through our electronic health records system.
-Candidates must be Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine, possessing current CA Medical/Professional Licensure.
-Demonstrated commitment to working with multi-cultural, high-risk patients in outpatient primary care.
