LifeLong Medical Care is looking for a Medical Assistant/Front Office Coordinator to work full time out of one of our Oakland clinics in a behavioral health setting. LifeLong has partnered with Alameda County Behavioral Health for this role. This is a full-time benefited position working 40 hours per week. The Medical Assistant/Front Office Coordinator is part of a patient-centered care team composed of a clinical provider, medical assistant, and auxiliary staff providing urgent and primary care health services in a community health center setting. Under the general supervision of the Back Office Supervisor and Lead Medical Assistant, the Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting medical providers by completing basic clerical and clinical tasks utilizing Electronic Health Record systems. Responsible for the coordination of operations in the areas of medical reception, scheduling, front desk and general clinic services. The Front Office / Medical Assistant will collaborate with the Clinic Director and Clinic Coordinator in the implementation of protocols for the front office and patient scheduling.
