    Supporting Community Healthcare is a rewarding role, come join a wonderful organization! LifeLong Medical Care is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at Brookside San Pablo on a full time basis. The RN will work with a multi-disciplinary provider team in the delivery of general primary care medical services in community health setting. Under the general supervision of the Associate Medical Director, the RN is responsible for supervising Medical Assistants, managing laboratory and pharmacy dispensary activities, participating in quality assurance, peer review and multidisciplinary team case management. Bilingual English/Spanish a must.

    Essential Functions

    • Performs nursing duties.
    • Coordinates medical care for primary care patients.
    • Manages back office patient flow.
    • Supervises Medical Assistants.
    • Manages laboratory.
    • Manages pharmacy dispensary activities.
    • Participates in quality assurance.
    • Participates in peer review.
    • Participates in multi-disciplinary team case management.
    • Coordinates primary care clinic services with other providers and agencies.
    • Maintains clinic according to licensure regulations.



    •  Working knowledge of outpatient care, triage and clinic flow.
    •  Able to work independently and cooperatively in a multi-disciplinary team setting.
    •  Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
    •  Able to prioritize often competing work demands and tasks from both clients and staff.
    •  Able to work effectively and calmly under pressure in a positive, friendly manner.
    •  Demonstrated ability and sensitivity working with a variety of people from low-income populations, with diverse educational, lifestyle, ethnic and cultural origins.
    •  Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to provide services to persons who are disabled, homeless substance users, HIV (AIDS) infected, and/or psychologically impaired.
    •  Working knowledge of community health problems including social and economic factors relating to health.

    Education and Experience

    • Possession of a valid California Registered Nurse license.
    • Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
    • Minimum one year experience in outpatient clinical practice.
    • Public Health Nursing certificate.
    • Previous experience in a public health or community clinic setting and working with the homeless, substance users, HIV (AIDS) infected or psychologically impaired persons.
