Located in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area, LifeLong Medical Care has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Medical director to join our multi-disciplinary team providing outpatient primary care for elderly patients at our Over 60 Health Center, located in Berkeley, California.The ideal candidate must have a commitment to providing high quality primary care for complex elderly patients, dedicated to building a collaborative team model of care, and a proven track record of leadership experience working a diverse environment.

This individual will focus on the care of the elderly (some complex and frail). The Health Center utilizes a multidisciplinary team approach with primary care providers, RNs, Social Workers, Psychiatry, podiatry and optometry. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing and supervising clinical care in the clinic, as well as providing mentorship and support to another physicians and clinical staff and students.


Candidate is also responsible for overseeing our Nursing Home care medical group and ensuring quality of care.



  • Candidates must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Board Certification in Geriatrics a plus.
  • Possess a current California Licensure
  • Experience with multi-cultural, high-risk patients in outpatient primary care.
  • Experience working with an EHR system
  • 2 years experience preferred in a clinical leadership role.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, primary health care setting and prioritize competing job demands.
  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to working with a diverse staff and with a patient population from various ethnic, socioeconomic, age, education, lifestyle, and experiential backgrounds, particularly with the underserved population.
